Festival & Events Ontario (FEO) recognized two of Clearview Township’s 2024 Signature Events as Top 100 Festival and Events in Ontario at their "Synergy" Conference Awards Gala on February 26th in Kitchener.
The Small Halls Festival series and Trail Tunes, a joint event with the Towns of Collingwood and Wasaga Beach, were named Top 100 Award Winners.
Mayor Doug Measures is honoured by the Provincial recognition for the collaborative events, “The province has many amazing community events held in towns big & small. The FEO Top 100 event status for our Small Halls Festival is something our residents should be proud of. Being honoured by the FEO board for the continued efforts of our volunteers and community partners is quite an accomplishment.” He said, “The success of Trail Tunes highlights the cooperation between our neighbours and the natural beauty of our area. Clearview Council remains committed to supporting local events and supporting community volunteers that make our Township one of the best places to live in Ontario.”
Manager of Parks and Recreation Amanda Murray is overjoyed at the recognition and how it reinforces what a community can accomplish when community volunteers and neighbours work together, “The Small Halls Festival is honoured to be part of an elite list of 100 top festivals in Ontario, the Parks & Recreation Department is happy to share this recognition with community volunteers and sponsors.” She said, “For the second year in a row, Trail Tunes, a collaborative event with the Towns of Wasaga Beach and Collingwood has also been chosen as part of the exclusive top 100 festival listing! This recognition reinforces Clearview as a leading destination for festivals and events in Simcoe County and throughout Ontario”.
