By-law Enforcement would like to remind residents that from October 15th until April 14th Parking Control By-law 07-36 details winter parking restrictions in Clearview Township. During the winter season from October 15, 2024, to April 14, 2025, no vehicle shall be parked on any street, road allowance, sidewalk, or municipal parking lot within the Township of Clearview between 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM.
Any vehicles in violation may be issued a parking ticket and towed away at the owner’s expense. The Municipality or its employees will not be responsible for any damage done to vehicles parked or abandoned on any street, road allowance, sidewalk, or municipal parking lot by Clearview winter maintenance operations. Removing personal property such as basketball nets from the snow-clearing path prevents damage and is a courtesy our winter operations staff appreciate.
Under Clearview’s annual Toys for Tickets program, anyone who receives a parking ticket between October 15th and December 18th will have the option to either pay the early fee as indicated on the ticket or, to submit a gift card or toy of equal or greater value as payment for the ticket. Donations to pay for a parking ticket can be made at the Administration Centre.
Residents are also reminded that it is illegal to deposit (shovel or blow) snow onto roads, sidewalks, or parking lots under the jurisdiction of the Township of Clearview. Issues relating to the obstruction of traffic or damage to snow removal equipment may be subject to charges under the Highway Traffic Act.
Thank you for your cooperation.
